It’s now September and February feels like it’s right around the corner! With my first fundraiser set to go on Saturday and spending the last few weeks letting friends and family know what I’m up to, it’s all feeling very real. That is, if my visa application is successful as it seems most definitely designed to keep people out of the country rather than let them in! On my list is to get a radiologist to scan me to confirm I don’t have TB, remember all the addresses I have lived in the last 10 years (can anyone remember where the flat was that I lived in that had a blue door next to a tool shop?), and to find a lawyer to certify that all my documents are valid. Staring at my dodgy passport photo I feel like I might not pass the test….
A verse that has stuck with me over the last few months is 1 Thessalonians 5: 24 The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. Amidst checking off lists, baking an epic amount of brownies, and trying to not get infected with TB…., my confidence is in God who’s called me, his faithfulness, and the knoweldge that he brings his plans to completion. The pressure is off!
